The High School Internship Program is for current Waterbury High School Students. The High School Internship Program provides job placements at our center for high school students enrolled in the internship program. Interns are required to work three (3) days, volunteer one (1) day, and are off one (1) day out of the week. Interns are provided with a stipend of minimum wage/ hour during the school year. Interns work directly with participants in the Rivera Memorial's Bridge After School & Mentor Me! Programs. The interns will be provided with various in-person and virtual workshops including but not limited to financial literacy, FASFA, scholarship and college application processes, self-empowerment and development. Intern are required to maintain a 'C' average in their classes in order to remain in the program.
*Please note: Students who apply must be available to work the entirety of the school year. **Typically those who play sports are unable to participate.
